OVERVIEW

smileKit is a professional homebleaching system for home use. It comes in two separate shipments: the first is an impression kis which allows you to fabricate impressions of your teeth in the tranquility of your home, which you must then send back to our lab in the enclosed return service box (already postpaid for return service within Germany). The second shipment contains the individually customized bleaching trays and the bleaching gel including instructions for use, plus free fluoride gels as a bonus with certain package sizes.

INDIVIDUAL SOLUTIONS INSTEAD OF 'ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL'

This unique teeth bleaching system is available in four product variants which refer to the strength of the bleaching gel enclosed and therefore to the application time (of each individual application, not the global treatment duration): SENSITIVE containing 5% carbamide peroxide for use overnight with extremely sensitive teeth, CLASSIC 10% for overnight use (standard), MEDIUM 15% for daytime use over 3 to 4 hours or overnight if appropriate, and finally FORTE 18% for daytime use over 2 to 3 hours.

Which variant to choose depends on whether you want to bleach your teeth overnight oder during the day. Overnight use is generally the simplest and most popular choice: if you choose overnight bleaching, you should select the CLASSIC or SENSITIVE variant (if you have extremely sensitive teeth). If you prefer daytime bleaching, or if you tend to grit your teeth while asleep, you may select the MEDIUM or FORTE variants. Choose MEDIUM gel if you want a wish to speed up overnight bleaching considerably by using a stronger formulation than the usual overnight CLASSIC gel (in this case you should make sure you tolerate the stronger gel type well by gradually extending application time). Choose the strongest gel formulation FORTE if you have little time to dedicate to each individual gel application.

Each variant is available in three package sizes. Depending on the package size chosen, you will receive one to three sixpacks of single-use syringes containing professional bleaching gel, plus three to six syringes of fluoride gel for desensitizing bleached teeth as a free bonus (package sizes standard and xxl only).

Which package size to choose depends on the type, strength and age of the present discolorations as well as the degree of whiteness desired. As a rule of thumb, package size standard (2 weeks) is sufficient to achieve a degree of whiteness desired by most customers, starting from an average discoloration. Very heavy, old, or difficult discolorations with a desired high degree of whiteness require an xxl (3 weeks) size smileKit. The basic (1 week) size is for persons with very light discolorations and for those who wish to 'freshen up' an earlier bleaching result.

Finally, there is a special variant of the smileKit containing only bleaching trays with no gel, which is called smileKit light.


THE COMPONENTS OF THE SMILEKIT

The bleaching trays delivered in the second shipment are manually customized to your individual dental situation by highly specialized lab technicians, which is why the trays have a perfect fit like no other type of bleaching tray could have. The perfect fit resulting from this time-consuming and complicated manufacturing process is essential for the gel to remain inside the tray and on your teeth where it belongs during the entire application time. The result is a reliable, homogenous whitening of your teeth without gum irritation.

Bleaching gel is also delivered in the second shipment (except smileKit light). Each packet of gel contains six single-use type syringes of 2 grams of gel each and is sufficient for 7 to 9 gel applications (upper and lower arch), i.e. over a week worth of treatment. You will receive our in-house brand of bleaching gel which, unlike most other bleaching gel brands, always comes from the current production and remains refrigerated and stored under perfect conditions until the moment it is shipped to you. This is important as bleaching gel is very sensitive to elevated temperatures and is often stored under unfavorable conditions, which leads to the gel partly decomposing and losing much of its bleaching power before it even comes into contact with the teeth to be bleached. This cannot happen to our gels.
